  • A current tribal government professional, community leader or someone who is otherwise able to take what you learn back to your tribal community to help make change

Able to attend three January in Tucson courses in person in 2024 (course fees waived), four quarterly virtual 2.5 hour seminars, and monthly check-ins

Applications are due October 28, 2024.

Here’s what previous participants had to say about their experience:

“I’m so grateful that I was able to be in community with such an amazing group…It was really amazing to see how everyone is so rooted in their culture and really committed to solving governance issues for their Tribes.”
- Crystal O’Grady (Monacan Indian Nation), Legal Affairs Manager, Oregon Department of Early Learning and Care, 2022 TPC Member

“My confidence level has grown from being a part of this cohort… I credit this course for giving me the confidence needed to remain faithful and dedicated to nation rebuilding.”
- Heather Mars-Martins (Narragansett Indian Nation Tribal Council), Communications Manager, Pequot Health Care, 2022 TPC Member

“The Tribal Professionals Cohort has taught me how to be a more effective leader in Indian Country through strategic planning. The lessons and assignments instilled leadership skills while other cohort members shared useful ideas for situations that arise in Tribal governance. It’s been an honor to learn from and grow with my fellow cohort members and I'm blessed to have met and formed relationships with this cohort and the NNI staff.”
