The NNI-based co-founders of the US Indigenous Data Sovereignty Network, Stephanie Carroll Rainie (Ahtna Athabascan), and Desi Rodriguez-Lonebear (Northern Cheyenne) will present on "Generating Principles and Best Practices in Indigenous Data Sovereignty" at the Research Data Alliance Tenth Plenary Meeting in Montréal, Canada from September 19-22 (remote access available for individual sessions). Rainie and Rodriguez-Lonebear will engage the nearly 400 conference attendees from around the globe in discussions about Indigenous "data governance." Their presentation asks, "What framework for governing Indigenous data supports tribes in their efforts toward Indigenous data sovereignty?".
