The Indigenous Governance Program, a joint program of the Native Nations Institute (NNI) and Indigenous Peoples Law & Policy Program (IPLP) at the James E. Rogers College of Law, is excited to announce its first-ever cohort of Master of Professional Studies (MPS) in Indigenous Governance students.

The MPS in Indigenous Governance was launched in the Spring of 2019 as part of the university's Native American Advancement Initiative. The degree provides a long-awaited opportunity for students to undertake study in a master’s degree program featuring intensive onsite and distance learning opportunities.

This year, five students enrolled in the MPS degree program hailing from Indigenous communities around the world, including the Ak-Chin Tribe, American Samoa, the Navajo Nation, and the Gila River Indian Community.
