Biographical Note

Stephen Corral, Program Associate for the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy, is a member of the Native Nations Institute (NNI) research team. His current research examines economic development in Indian country between 1990 and 2000.

Stephen is a graduate student in the Department of Sociology at the University of Arizona. He earned an M.A. in Sociology in 2004, and a B.S. in Sociology from Santa Clara University in 1999. His research interests include organizational theory, social movements, race and ethnicity, and research methods. He is currently working on projects examining the policy effects of social movement organizations and the effects of jazz musician networks on record label performance.

Before attending graduate school, he worked in health and human service non-profits in the San Francisco/San Jose area, providing crisis intervention, case management, outreach, and health education services.
