       WHAT WE DO

Policy Analysis and Research. Peoples around the world are working to invent new development strategies and governance tools that match their unique needs and contribute to maintaining their cultures. NNI's policy analysis and research efforts are intended to further these efforts and provide Indigenous groups with useful models for nation building.

Executive Education. NNI sponsors training sessions in Native nation building designed for tribal leaders.

Strategic and Organizational Development. NNI works with Native nations and organizations on strategic and organizational issues ranging from constitutional reform to government design, intergovernmental relations, and economic and community development.

Native American Youth Entrepreneur Camp. NNI provides high-school students with an introduction to entrepreneurship and business.

Curriculum Development. NNI develops case-based materials for tribal colleges and other learning environments.

Native American Congressional Internships. Administered by the Morris K. Udall Foundation, the internship program involves Native youth in federal decision-making and to teach them how to participate in the creation of public policy that affects their communities.
