International Indigenous Development Research Conference

In November 2014, NNI Tribal Health Program manager Stephanie Carroll Rainie and graduate assistant Aurora Trujillo were in Auckland, New Zealand to participate in the 6th Biennial International Indigenous Development Research Conference 2014, hosted by Ngā Pae o Te Māramatanga (the Māori Centre of Research Excellence) at the University of Auckland. Rainie's presentation, The Strategic Power of Data: A Key Aspect of Exercising Sovereignty, prompted audience engagement and interest in applying the topic to other Indigenous communities.
