Yadira is the Research Program Coordinator for the Native Nations Institute (NNI) in the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the University of Arizona. Yadira coordinates the daily administrative operations of the NNI research program and works together with other members of the Udall Center's administrative team to ensure that the NNI research program's needs are met.

Yadira received her Masters of Jurisprudence in Indian Law from the University of Tulsa and a Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Economics and Management with a minor in Business Administrative and American Indian Studies from the University of Arizona. Prior to starting her Masters at the University of Tulsa, she interned for USDA- Foreign Agricultural Services in Office of Country & Regional Affairs within Africa & Middle East Division in the DC area, where she worked on various projects such as updating/refining/analyzing reference tables on U.S. Agricultural for fish and forestry exports to the AME region and researched general issues and analyzed the potential impact (i.e. U.S. Marketing Order for olive oil) and drafted a report for FAS in Rabat, Morocco.
