Mona Nozhackum is a citizen of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and her family also comes from Taos Pueblo and Sisseton-Wahpeton Dakota Oyate. Mona serves as a program coordinator for the Native Nations Institute (NNI) at the Udall Center for Studies in Public Policy at the University of Arizona. Her work includes providing programmatic coordination for the Udall Foundation Native American Congressional Internship program; assisting with the Native Governance Center Nation Building partnership; coordinating meetings, workshops, and conferences; overseeing the daily operations and activities of NNI and projects; and collaborating with the Udall Center, business office, other UA organizations, and external entities. Mona earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College and will receive her Master of Education in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Community College Higher Education from Northern Arizona University in May 2018.
